Research Compliance® (CHRC®)?
CHRC® certification may be your missing
piece as a research compliance professional!
Step 1 QUALIFY
CHRC® candidates must meet two eligibility
requirements before sitting for the exam: Work Experience and Continuing
Education.
• Work Experience: candidates must fit into one of
the two work experience
categories:

• Compliance Professional: Persons with one year
of full-time compliance experience
• Allied Compliance Professional: Persons with at least 1,500
hours/two years of compliance related experience

• Student Option: Students completing a certificate
program at an HCCA's accredited university are eligible for the exam
upon completion, waiving the work experience requirement
• Continuing Education: Candidates must obtain 20 CCB Continuing
Education Units (CEUs) in the 12 months prior to sitting for the exam (a
minimum of 50% must be from LIVE meetings)
Step 2 PREPARE
How can you prepare for the CHR® exam? HCCA
faculty suggest the following:
Step 3 TEST
Candidates who have met the eligibility requirements may
schedule their exam. The CHRC® exam is offered on-site
at many HCCA conferences (application on specific event's page), as well
as at local H&R Block locations (application in the CHRC
handbook).
Step 4 MAINTAIN
Once certification is obtained, you are eligible to use your
credentials for a two-year certification period, starting from when you
pass the exam. At the end of the two-year certification period, you must
submit the information below to maintain your certification. Failure to
submit the appropriate documentation prior to your certification period
expiration date will result in a lapse in your certification and your
only option will be to retest:
- Submit the Renewal Application either by faxing or
mailing the PDF form or submitting the web form.
- Presenting 40 CCB approved Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
- Renewal Fee ($100/members and $200/non-members) Suggested methods
for earning the required 40 CCB approved Continuing Education Units
Include:
• Attend one of many educational HCCA events ranging from one to
four daysearn CEUs and network with your peers
• Publication review: CEUs are available for quizzes based
on comprehension of Compliance Today, and The Report on Medicare
Compliance, as well as quizzes based on select HCCA books (please note:
a maximum of 50%
of your CEUs may come from this source)
• Attend a CCB-accredited event click here for a roster of approved accredited
events
• Submit non-HCCA events for accreditation consideration
• Submit presentations or published articles
