Discover more about us at Responsibilities: The Compliance Intern will be responsible for working with the Compliance Director, Compliance Manager and Compliance Specialist with Compliance Director oversight to facilitate compliance activities which may include, but not be limited to the following: researching federal and state regulations and statutes and analyzing applicable impact to the plan and contract requirements; drafting training documents based on recent healthcare law trends and regulations encompassing topics such as False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, Civil Monetary Penalty Statute, HIPAA, and Medicaid; assisting with contract compliance monitoring document review to ensure contract deliverables and requirements are met; drafting and revising policies and procedures; and assisting with reports regarding risk analysis to Corporate Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Compliance, and Corporate Risk Management. Requirements: • Preferred understanding of legal research, including use of Lexis or Westlaw. • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. • Preference for an intern who has completed one year of law school; healthcare law course of study preferred. Public Policy graduate student acceptable.
