Privacy

Membership – Membership in the Privacy CFG is open to all Health Care Compliance Association members, however, it is customary that the members of the Privacy CFG have a professional interest or background in compliance and business ethics in Privacy, including HIPAA and related regulatory legislation, will be the ones to benefit the most from the CFG activities of the Privacy Compliance Focus Group.
Purpose – To recognize that privacy officers and compliance officers in organizations have privacy, ethics and regulatory issues and concerns that are unique or specific to their activities that don’t exist otherwise in their organizations.  The Privacy CFG will provide a forum and means for identifying, discussing and helping participants to develop solutions to these special compliance and privacy concerns and issues through participation in some or all of the following activities:

  • Regular articles in HCCA’s Compliance Today
  • Supporting the Compliance Institute’s Privacy Industry Immersion
  • Maintaining the documents library and other Community areas of the HCCA’s Home Privacy page on the HCCA website.

To become a member of the Privacy CFG first you must be a member of HCCA.  Then, please contact the Privacy CFG Chair with your contact information.
