 Certified in Health Care Compliance

Bringing Value to Your Organization

New regulations, increased governmental scrutiny, and a spotlight on business are raising the stakes for compliance professionals. As a result, you need to know that your compliance team is made up of experienced professionals who understand what makes for an effective compliance and ethics program.

The Certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC) designation, along with its related certifications – Certified in Health Care Research Compliance and Certified in Health Care Privacy Compliance -- provide you with assurance that your compliance people don’t just have the compliance offer title, but they understand the essentials of compliance management.

Obtaining these designations isn’t easy.  To earn each one, an individual has to have met three strict criteria:

  • At least a year of work in compliance or a related position or completion of an accredited university program

  • 20 hours of approved continuing education in the year prior to taking the certification exam, and 40 hours of approved continuing education every two years to maintain their certification

  • Successfully passing the CCEP exam

So when looking to hire a new compliance professional, or considering how you want your program to evolve, look to the CHC, CHRC and CHPC designations as signs of how seriously your organization takes compliance.
