Creating a Stark II Compliance Data Base

Creating a Stark II Compliance Data Base (PowerPoint 1.7 mb)

The Stark II regulations define certain information about financial relationships with physicians that CMS may demand an organization to produce.  Although the regulations require at least 30 days’ advance notice, compiling the information from scratch would be major task.  An alternative is to gather the information over time and store it in a data base.  HCCA and Davis Wright Tremaine have developed a computer tool that could be used for that purpose.  It is available as a compressed zip file by clicking this link.
