How we select articles for CEU questions
Each issue of Compliance Today contains a CEU quiz based on three of
the articles in that issue. Each quiz has four questions and is
worth one CEU credit. The articles are voluntarily written by members of
HCCA and other interested parties in the compliance field. Because our
organization is inclusive of many different kinds of healthcare
providers and many different subspecialties, the articles we select for
publication are also representative of this diversity. Some articles
lend themselves well to the quiz format and some do not. Our
certification programs are not limited to any one particular field of
compliance in healthcare, therefore the CEU credits needed to attain or
maintain certification are not limited to one area.
In every quiz, we try to have at least one question from a general
subject area that is relevant for most readers. To assure that all areas
of compliance are addressed, we include materials from hospitals,
hospice, home health, pharmacy, durable medical goods, private physician
groups, insurance companies, government agencies, etc. Our
certifications are all-inclusive and represent all segments of the
healthcare industry.
Please remember that if you are certified in health care compliance,
it is your responsibility to maintain a working knowledge for all
segments of the industry. Compliance is compliance only the risk areas
differ. Every quiz question is based on information or ideas contained
in a specific article. We hope that everyone will find something of
value in every CEU quiz.
