Medicare contract reform as mandated by the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003 brings some of the most significant operational and policy changes to the Medicare program since its inception in 1964, including the elimination of existing contract relationships with all current Fiscal Intermediaries and Carriers. This session will provide an overview of key components of the contracting reform requirements for Medicare Administrative Contractors for Part A and Part B services.
Medicare contracting reform will include new and enhanced compliance practices by Medicare contractors, which will subject providers to greater scrutiny. In this 90-minute session you will:

- Acquire knowledge of the key changes that Medicare Contracting Reform brings to the health care industry, including introduction of the Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs);

Health Care Compliance Association is authorized to award 1 hour of
preapproved Category II (non-ACHE) continuing education credit for this

in ACHE.
