Minneapolis, Minn. --- October 18, 2019 --- Join the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics & Health Care Compliance Association (SCCE & HCCA) and organizations worldwide in the celebration of Corporate Compliance & Ethics Week. Shine a spotlight on the importance of compliance and ethics at your organization and boost your compliance culture.

National Corporate Compliance & Ethics Week began in May 2005 as a way to help members of SCCE & HCCA to increase awareness of compliance and ethics issues at their organizations. It has since grown to an annual event that is celebrated around the world.

“This week gives compliance and ethics professionals the opportunity to show-case their corporate compliance programs, and also provides a chance for their organizations to be part of a larger, global movement,” said Gerry Zack, incoming CEO of SCCE & HCCA.

Many organizations structure their week of activities around the concepts of awareness, recognition, and reinforcement:

  • Awareness – Get employees thinking about compliance and ethics. This can be achieved through posters and banners, giveaways, screensavers, articles or blogs in employee communications and more, as well as quizzes, puzzles and challenges to get people engaged.
  • Recognition – Launch a new compliance training program, host live training sessions or to recognize individual, department or company-wide successes.
  • Reinforcement – Demonstrate that all levels of the organization support a culture of compliance. Plan events and communications that include the CEO or other organizational leaders as compliance advocates.

About SCCE & HCCA

Founded in 1996, the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) was created to fill a growing need for education and community among healthcare compliance professionals. In 2004, we expanded our scope by forming the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE), which supports compliance and ethics professionals across all industries. Both member-based associations provide resources, publications, and training to compliance professionals - including 100+ conferences annually - and champion ethical practices and compliance standards. SCCE & HCCA, headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, serve a combined 19,600+ members from more than 98 countries – and we continue to grow.
