Minneapolis, Minn. --- November 6, 2018 --- The Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics & Health Care Compliance Association (SCCE & HCCA) are pleased to announce that Gerry Zack is the new CEO as of November 1, 2018. Zack spent the last year working alongside former CEO and founder Roy Snell, who will now transition to special projects.

Zack, Gerry“As a CEO candidate, Gerry checked off boxes we didn’t know we had,” said Snell, “His remarkable ability to make informed and strong decisions is deeply rooted in the foundation of the professions he is certified in… audit, compliance, risk, investigation, and accounting.  I have worked side by side with Gerry for 12 months as we slowly and systematically transitioned everything to him. His ability to perform in the role of CEO for this professional association just blows me away.  I am thrilled.”

Prior to joining SCCE & HCCA last year, Zack spent more than 30 years providing services for the prevention, detection, investigation, and remediation of fraud, corruption and noncompliance. He served as a Managing Director in the Global Forensics practice at BDO and also ran his own advisory and investigative practice for 24 years. He also served as Chief Operating and Compliance Officer, and Deputy Executive Director, of the Optical Society from 2010 to 2012.

“Working with Roy the past 12 months has been both educational and invigorating. It has been incredibly helpful in preparing me to assume the CEO position and I can’t thank Roy enough for all his help.” said Zack.

In addition to his extensive work experience, Zack has provided training or consulting in more 20 countries and authored three books. He served on the Faculty at the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners for 11 years and is a former chair of its Board of Regents. He has been a loyal SCCE member since 2009 and is a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)®.

Zack has an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, an MBA in Finance from Loyola University, and has received several other professional certifications, including CFE, CPA, CIA and CRMA.
