Regulatory Analysis Intern   Post Date8/8/18 - 10/8/18
Strategic Management Services, LLC.   Location: Alexandria, VA 

The Regulatory Analysis Intern will perform research, analysis, and assessment of compliance with federal regulations related to Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, Stark Law, and other government laws and programs. The Intern will be involved in developing methodologies and tools to assess regulatory compliance, and assist health care businesses in understanding and meeting regulatory requirements. In addition, the Intern will assist in responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), maintaining a library of RFP resources, and tracking and reporting on the status of proposals. A mentor will be assigned to the Intern and orientation to compliance and the firm will be provided. This is a paid Internship that has the duration of approximately 3 months, with the potential for a permanent full-time position thereafter. It is located in Strategic Management's headquarters in Alexandria,VA. We're looking for a highly motivated professional interested in a great, entry-level opportunity to make an impact while working with some of the most experienced professionals in the industry. Qualified candidates will possess: Exceptional interpersonal skills Superior writing and editing abilities Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization Proven research and analysis capabilities Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) Willingness to travel for client needs Education and Certification Requirements: Law Degree or Master's Degree (or currently be pursuing such a degree) Degree or program should have an emphasis in healthcare compliance, health administration, public health, public policy, or other discipline related to government regulation

Compliance Externship/Fellowship/Internship   Post Date12/28/17-1/24/18
Central Health Plan of California   Location: Diamond Bar, CA 

Externs/interns/fellows will focus on healthcare compliance as it relates to laws, regulations, and industry codes affecting Managed Care, including but not limited to Medicare Advantage, Prescription Drug Plan, and Commercial Health Plan businesses, including CMS and DMHC regulations, False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statue, OIG guidance, and the Knox Keene and HIPAA/HITECH Acts. This position will be responsible for providing guidance, support and appropriate advice regarding activities associated with the Compliance Program to the Senior Compliance Counsel. Includes maintaining, reviewing, and updating appropriate policies and procedures, developing and conducting any necessary training, and monitoring the business operations to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and Central Health Plan’s Healthcare Law Compliance Program. Extern/Fellow/Intern will receive a monthly stipend and/or school credit. Externship/Fellowship/Internship will take place in company headquarters at 1540 Bridgegate Drive, Diamond Bar, CA 91765.
