Minneapolis, MN---March 22, 2017 ---The Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) announced today it has acquired Report on Patient Privacy and Report on Research Compliance from Atlantic Information Services, Inc. These two highly valued and often referenced newsletters will continue to be written by Theresa Defino and her editorial team, who now also benefit from the wide range of compliance resources and professional contacts available through HCCA. Ms. Defino, a well-regarded journalist, has experience reporting on HIPAA and the ethical and compliance issues facing researchers and institutions, having worked for an academic medical center affiliated with a major mid-western university. She has contributed to RPP for 16 years and authored RRC for 11 years.

“We are very excited to have Theresa Defino as a part of our team.  Her expertise and skill at reporting are respected in the compliance industry, as are these two publications,” said Roy Snell, HCCA Chief Executive Officer.

Report on Patient Privacy is the health care industry’s leading source of timely news and business strategies for safeguarding patient privacy and data security, and reducing the chances of costly breaches. Report on Research Compliance is the research community’s unique publication providing practical information for oversight of high-risk areas of all types of research funded by the U.S. government. Both Report on Patient Privacy and Report on Research Compliance are 12 page-monthly newsletters available in print and PDF formats.
